And that’ll do it for Chapter 6, bringing the two-part Caught in the Storm storyarc to a close. We hope you had fun (we did)!
Chapter 7 is going to be a little bit different from what you’ve read thus far. Just wait until you see what we’ve got in store…!
As always, please take a moment to check out our store for merch and books, our Patreon to support the creation of all these free comics, and our Twitter/Facebook to share our updates with your pals. It’s my birthday, if that makes you more apt to help us out?
See you next week when we kick off Chapter 7. Take care of each other, friends.
How about I just donate with the button down there and you just keep making awesome comics? ;-)
Thank you so much!
Don’t mind me, it’s just my allergies acting up. In all seriousness, beautiful end to this chapter!
Thanks Sachairi — we’re very eager for the opportunity to read your comic! Hope it’s coming along well!
Dammit, can’t find my “Lie Down, Try Not To Cry, Cry A Lot” reaction file…
Zukah’s trident’s on back order, I take it?
Getting his bear back took priority today.
He’ll have to wait one more chapter (wink).
I just realized that Ryan must have been attacked and his trident stolen. For some reason, I interpreted http://zukahnaut.com/2015/01/31/113-inspiration/ as him being in league with the bugs, not with him being beat up and having his trident stolen.
Why did he say that he would not give Darius or Daphne his trident when it looked like he was bringing it up on the previous page?
It sounds like we dropped the ball in regards to what was going on in that moment, Chris.
Ryan’s last line in the previous chapter would have worked a lot better if we had waited to put it in this one (his family had apparently shared stories with him about the ocean people, and he was fascinated to find out they were based in truth). Him bringing up the trident was rooted in a desire for elaboration — about the trident, and how his family had come to have it — but without context I guess it comes off like he might be trying to offer it as a weapon. Sorry we got sloppy with that. There’s no reason he couldn’t have at least repeated his line from the end of Part 1.
It still feels more than a little cheap that the ‘Any one treasure’ deal had to apply to the ‘treasure’ that THEY STOLE FROM THE GUY IN THE FIRST PLACE.
“I’ll take the San Miguel! Also, give me my damn bear back or I’ll punch you in the face.”
I loved all of the underwater artwork! Very cool
Thanks! The underwater stuff is some of my favourite art in the comic too!
Dat rebreather on the teddy bear! Precious.
That is probably the best thing we’ve done so far.
